With last night’s results still coming in, one thing is already crystal clear: California’s environment was the big winner, thanks in large part to CLCV members like you!

This is important. Corporate polluters including Chevron, Valero, and Dow Chemical have already spent $107,000 to try to buy a single legislative seat, and they still have more than half a million dollars left in their “dark money” PAC. If history is any indication, this is just a taste of what’s to come. That’s right, it’s election season in California again, and these special interests are perfectly on cue.

Last week CLCV hosted our 2018 Gubernatorial Candidates Forum in Huntington Park along with our allies CBE Action, CEJA Action, and United Food and Commercial Workers.

Last month, the US House of Representatives passed legislation to slash the EPA’s budget by $500 million. Now the Senate is moving to consider the same cuts and needs to hear from you!
